Responsibilities:
Test Strategy & Execution
Review product requirements and technical specifications to deeply understand the scope and identify logical gaps before code is even written.
Design, document, and execute comprehensive manual test cases that cover functional, regression, and integration scenarios.
Defect Management & Quality Assurance
Identify, track, and document defects using defect-tracking tools, ensuring each issue is reproducible and clearly communicated to the engineering team.
Act as the gatekeeper for product quality, ensuring no critical defects slip into production.
Verify fixes and perform regression testing to ensure the new code has not broken existing functionality.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with developers, product owners, and business analysts to clarify ambiguous requirements and resolve issues quickly.
- Provide clear, data-driven reporting on test progress, results, and overall product health to leadership.
- Champion established QA standards and best practices within the development lifecycle.
Preferred Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
Mandatory: Prior experience in the Fintech domain is required for this role, as you must understand the gravity of financial data and transaction flows.
1-3 years of professional experience in manual software testing.
Demonstrated proficiency with bug-tracking and project management tools.
Strong understanding of QA methodologies and the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
