We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates for the following position in the Internal Audit Department at Merchant Bank of Sri Lanka & Finance PLC (MBSL).
🚀 Key Responsibilities
- 🎯 Assist to perform detailed audits of the organization’s information systems, focusing on data integrity, system security, and operational efficiency.
- 🛡️ Assisting to assess the adequacy of system security measures, including firewalls, encryption, access controls, and vulnerability management.
- ⚠️ Identify potential IT-related risks and provide recommendations to mitigate them.
- 🔄 Assist to conduct audits on IT disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure preparedness.
- 🖥️ Review and test application controls, system development processes, and IT infrastructure.
- 🤝 Work closely with the IT department to evaluate the effectiveness of system changes and new implementations.
- 📝 Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to the Chief Internal Auditor.
- ⚖️ Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including data protection laws and internal IT governance frameworks.
- 💡 Provide guidance on improving IT governance, risk management, and internal control frameworks.
🎓 Qualifications & Experience
- 📜 Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems.
- ⏳ Minimum 1 year experience in IS audit in a bank or financial institution.
- 🧠 Basic knowledge of IT systems, information security, internal controls, and risk management.
- 🔍 Understanding of IS audit concepts, IT general controls (ITGC), and application controls.
- 🖋️ Good analytical, documentation, and report-writing skills.
- 🗣️ Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
