Senior Risk & Fraud Platform Engineer at AFFIXCON
Role Summary We are building a Fraud Detection Framework designed to support multiple decisioning paradigms (Bayesian, Rules, ML, Hybrid) and a growing set of fraud signals (e.g. Email, Mobile etc.). We are looking for someone who can design and own a scalable fraud decisioning platform, with strong emphasis on architecture, configurability, explainability, and future AI/ML readiness.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement a modular orchestration layer to manage and combine multiple input signals.
Develop a flexible decisioning framework capable of supporting different analytical and scoring approaches.
Implement a decision aggregation mechanism to produce a unified outcome from multiple components.
Ensure system behaviour is fully configuration-driven, with no hard-coded thresholds or logic.
Deliver transparent and explainable outputs, including scores and decision rationale.
Required Experience
4–5+ years of backend engineering experience, with strong system design and architecture skills.
4+ years of hands-on Python experience building production-grade services or platforms.
Proven experience working on fraud, risk, compliance, or decisioning systems.
Practical understanding of fraud models, including:
Probabilistic models (e.g., Bayesian approaches)
Rule-based / scorecard systems
Machine learning models used in risk or fraud contexts.
Experience designing modular, scalable, and configuration-driven platforms.
Ability to build explainable decision outputs suitable for audit and review.
