As a Quality Engineering (QE) Intern, you’ll be assigned to a team supporting real-life projects. On-the-job training, professional development, and direct access to a senior mentor will be provided to help you make the most of this 6-month program.
🎯 What Does the Internship Program Offer?
Pearson is offering a 6-month internship in 2026 for one exceptional Quality Engineering undergraduate. You will engage in:
- Software requirements analysis from a quality perspective.
- Test planning, execution, and defect analysis.
- Exposure to manual and automated testing, regression testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Insight into API and UI testing approaches and emerging AI-driven testing techniques.
💰 Pay Rate & Benefits
Allowance: Rs 50,000 monthly allowance.
Leave: Eligible for accrued paid sick time per policy guidelines.
📅 Program Details
The program runs between June and December 2026. This position is hybrid, requiring a minimum of 3 days per week at the Pearson Lanka office.
🛠️ Minimum Requirements
- Currently reading for a Bachelor’s degree in Computing, IT, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent.
- Strong technical foundation in Java and JavaScript.
- Knowledge of RDBMS and basic understanding of NoSQL; ability to write/validate queries.
- Understanding of OOP concepts and software design fundamentals.
- Exposure to API testing concepts (RESTful services) and tools/frameworks.
- Familiarity with Agile/SCRUM and exposure to TDD / ATDD concepts.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills for global team interaction.
